PILGRIMAGE TO THE WEINVIERTEL
St. James's Way
The Weinviertel region is a great place of serenity. So much so, that you could be fooled into thinking that it was made for pilgrimages. St. James Way trails through the wine district of Drasenhofen Krems on the Danube at a length of 153 km. Jacob’s wine district officially came into existence in 2010 and has had a steady stream of international pilgrims since. The beautiful landscape and picturesque vineyards and wine cellar streets make the wine region’s section of the pilgrim's way a special experience all year round. Exploring some of Austria’s natural beauty on foot is a sure way to gain some serenity as you are enchanted by the breathtaking surroundings.
